If there is one thing for sure......DJ's love new gadgets! And that's what the DJ Expo in Atlantic City helps showcase....new gadgets and new trends. Like kids in a toy store we charged to the Expo entrance inside the Taj Mahal only to have to wait for the crowd in front of us to filter thru the ONE and only open door. Once inside your senses get bombarded with the thump-thump-thumping of dozens of bass speakers. Laser beams shoot thru the air above your head as the call of the gadgets hits you....buy me....buy me.
This year was no different from the last 17 or 18 years that we have been attending the show....except maybe the show got a little smaller as the years go by. This year however...it seemed that there were more discounts on the gadgets. And in our endeavor to provide our clients with the best service possible.....we did what all good DJ/Entertainers do....we bought new gadgets. My credit card company loves me!
One of the biggest trends in the DJ industry is LED up lighting...it can truly transform an ordinary room into something spectacular. We have been using LED's for some time now....and we now have a variety of LED uplights for different applications....and even wireless control units so we can light up even the most difficult of rooms.
No matter what you may have heard from others.....lighting does make a huge difference at an event...especially at a wedding. Lighting can be that extra touch that takes an event from nice to....WOW!
